Adult Programs

St. Virgil Parish programs for adults include:
The Cana Ministry, Pre Cana Ministry, Baptismal Preparation, Prime Time for Seniors, Knights of Columbus, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Mothers for Children with Special Needs. (Please scroll down to read about these programs and for contact information.)

Cana Ministry
Provides programs to promote strong marriages and wellness in Family Life.Contact: Parish Office, 973-538-1418.

Pre Cana Ministry
Provides marriage preparation to engaged couples for the Sacrament of Matrimony as required by the Bishops of New Jersey.

Baptismal Preparation
This program is a one hour preparation course for your child’s Baptism. It is mandatory for all first time parents or parents that are new to the parish. Contact: Parish Office, 973-538-1418

Prime Time
A group for the sixty and up who meet monthly to converse, take trips and enjoy The Prime Time of Life.

Knights of Columbus
A Fraternal Order for Catholic men who promote family, religious and patriotic values within the parish and nationally.

Girl Scouts
Is a part of the national scouting program. The parish sponsors local scouting programs for girls (Brownies to Girl Scouts).

The scouting experience for young boys ages 5-10 years is sponsored by the parish.

Mothers of Children with Special Needs
A support group for mothers whose children require extraordinary needs with the education process.
